SRT and I went to our favorite thrift store today and I found these cute little hardback Piglet and Friends books on different kinds of emotions and thought they would be great for my Grandma Box. The only book that wasn't in excellent condition was the one on ANGER. It was chewed to death... I thought it was hilarious! Some little person must have been pretty mad...
Oh, something else funny happened there... I was thinking about buying a cute pair of black shoes I found but the size I tried on was a half of a size too big so I wore them for awhile to see if they would work and continued shopping. I placed my old pair on top of my cart and then sometime later noticed that one of my shoes was missing! It had been either knocked off the cart or I put it up on the shelf accidentally! I had to slowwwly walk down each of the five aisles that carried shoes to see if my missing shoe had fallen on the floor or was up on the rack somewhere. After a long search, and just when I was going to give up and buy the complete pair that was on my feet, (by now they were way bigger than I wanted and hurting) I found it by moving the hanging clothes out of the way forcefully and through a quick prayer -- which always works best. Whew! Lesson learned: Don't casually put your own pair on top where it can get knocked over.
